Harry, a wealthy and rough junkyard racketeer, hires a savvy young reporter to smarten up Billie, his brainless but beautiful gal pal.  As lessons commence, Billie proves to be smarter than Harry thought, and his plan to buy a senator and add Washington to his back pocket goes quickly awry. 

The film starring Broderick Crawford and William Holden earned Judy Holliday a Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Billie Dawn, the unruly dame who helps everyone get the education they deserve!  Holliday performed in this Broadway hit that ran for more than 1600 performances.

An up-scale anniversary party turns into a melee of innuendos and misunderstandings when four couples arrive for the celebration to find the host, the New York City Deputy Mayor, has been shot, his wife is missing, dinner is still thawing, and the servants have disappeared! The shenanigans get out of hand when the mayor’s lawyer attempts a cover-up, which fills the rumor mill with infidelity, scandal, mystery, and of course, side-splitting humor.

Can Holmes’ razor-sharp wits be blinded by love?  His arch-nemesis, the villainous Professor Moriarty, believes so. Filled with danger, intrigue, humor and surprise; follow the game and see if Holmes lives to sleuth another day!
