Welcome to Almost, Maine – a tiny village so far north it is almost in Canada. On a clear, cold and moonless night, while the northern lights dance overhead, the residents of this mythical town find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. In a series of nine amiably absurdist vignettes that is somewhere between what The New York Post calls “Norman Rockwell and Our Town … the show offers a sweetness and a decency that’s become rare at the theater … it’s a welcome breath of fresh air.” Hearts are broken, but the bruises heal, and the hearts mend – almost – in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
