Peninsula Players Theatre Scholarship
Peninsula Players Theatre is proud to support the higher education of local high school seniors pursuing a major or minor in arts management, music or theater. A minimum $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one student at each of the Door County high schools.
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating high school senior in Door County
- Plan to enroll as a full-time college student
- Plan to major or minor in one of the following degrees:
- Arts Management
- Music (i.e. Performance, Education)
- Theatre (i.e. Acting, Theatre Studies, Theatre Technology and Design)

2026 Recipient
Peninsula Players Theatre is proud to announce Addison Richmond as the recipient of the 2026 Peninsula Players Theatre Scholarship. A graduate of Gibraltar High School, Richmond has demonstrated exceptional dedication, creativity, and leadership in theatre throughout her academic career. This fall, she will attend the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, where she plans to pursue a degree in theatre arts with a concentration in stage management.
Richmond’s passion for theatre began in eighth grade when she participated in her middle school theatre production. While she first explored acting, she quickly discovered her true interest was behind the scenes. As a freshman, she was invited to serve as stage manager for a high school production, an opportunity that shaped her artistic path. She went on to thrive in leadership roles backstage, coordinating props, managing scene transitions, organizing scripts, and ensuring productions ran smoothly from rehearsal through performance.
Looking ahead, Richmond plans to expand her technical theatre skills in areas such as sound and lighting, as well as scenic and costume design. She aspires to combine her expertise in stage management with her love of travel by working with a touring production company.
