 Pre-Show Seminars Slated  for “The Tin Woman”

 Fish Creek, Wisconsin – Peninsula Players Theatre, in conjunction with its production of Sean Grennan’s heartfelt comedy  “The Tin Woman,” will host speakers from The Second Chance for Life Foundation Thursday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m.   Tickets to the performance are available, admission to the pre-show seminar is free.

Joel and Sue Heckman and Ken and Fran McIntosh will join playwright Sean Grennan in the seminar.  Joel and Ken are both recipients of heart transplants and Sue and Fran were their caregivers during the recovery process.

“’The Tin Woman” is a heartwarming comedy centered on a young woman who receives an unexpected heart transplant and the still grieving family who made the donation.   The play opens in the hospital after Joy’s sudden surgery.

Patrons are welcome to come early and join the Heckmans, McIntoshs and Grennan in a 45-minute discussion prior to the show which will be held in the theater starting at 6:30 p.m.

“The Players held pre-show discussions last season which were widely attended,” said Danielle Kapolnek Peninsula Players Development and Events Coordinator.  “This season we will host a pre-show seminar each of the five of plays.  Speakers will lead discussions on topics based on the shows.

“Popular speaker and Agatha Christie expert Christopher Chan will join us again for a pre-show seminar Tuesday, July 22 during the run of Christies’ ‘And Then There Were None.’”

“The Tin Woman” is sponsored by Ministry Door County Medical Center.

A post-show discussion with the playwright, cast and creative team is slated for Thursday, June 19.   Audience members are invited to stay after the performance of “The Tin Woman.”

The Peninsula Players perform Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. with a 4 p.m. matinee Sunday, July 6 of “The Tin Woman” and a 4 p.m. matinee Sunday, July 27 for “And Then There Were None.”   Individual and group tickets are also available.  Individual ticket prices range from $35 to $44.  There are no performances on Mondays.  For more information on future seminars or to reserve tickets phone the Peninsula Players box office at (920) 868-3287 or visit the website at www.peninsulaplayers.com.
