Individual Tickets on Sale Beginning March 1

Peninsula Players Theatre, America’s oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County’s theatrical icon, is delighted to announce that individual tickets will go on sale beginning March 1 for its captivating 89th season.   Performances begin on June 18 and run through October 20, 2024, promising a rich tapestry of theatrical experiences from electrifying rock ‘n’ roll music to rollicking comedies, dramas, and thrillers.   Season and group tickets are available now by phoning the Box Office at (920) 868-3287 Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   Beginning March 1, patrons may book their tickets online through the theater’s website, www.peninsulaplayers.com or by phoning the Box Office.

Amidst its picturesque landscape, the award-winning artistic company at Peninsula Players Theatre has continued to enthrall generations of audiences with its compelling and entertaining plays and musicals.   Drawn by the theater’s exciting line-up and their own unforgettable experiences, audiences return year after year.  Before each show patrons arrive early to immerse themselves in the theater’s tranquil ambiance and forested shoreline setting, making their visit to the theater one to remember.

The 2024 season kicks off on June 18 with a three-week presentation of Neil Simon’s “I Ought To Be In Pictures,” a poignant comedy about finding family, which concludes on July 7.     “The Angel Next Door,” a fresh comedy adapted from Ferenc Molnár’s “Play at the Castle” by Paul Slade Smith, who is known for works like “The Outsider” and “Unnecessary Farce,” keeps the laughter flowing from July 10 to July 28.

Get ready for a musical journey through rock ‘n’ roll history from July 31 to August 18 with “Million Dollar Quartet,” a captivating production inspired by legends Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash, in Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux’s award-winning musical.  Romance takes center stage with “Mary’s Wedding,” an unforgettable love story by Stephen Massicotte, running for two weeks from August 21 to September 1.

As autumn unfolds, experience the suspense of “The Stranger,” an intimate psychological thriller from the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie. “The Stranger” performs for six weeks from September 4 to October 20, bringing a gripping conclusion to the season.

Peninsula Players Theatre is a professional, not-for-profit theater that collaborates with members of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), the union of professional actors and stage managers; United Scenic Artists (USA), a labor union and professional association of Designers, Artists and Craftspeople; and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), a theatrical union of stage directors and choreographers.

Peninsula Players Theatre performs Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. in the summer.  With the opening of its autumn production on September 4, curtain times shift to Tuesday through Sundays at 7:00 p.m.  The closing Sunday performance of each show will have a 2:00 p.m. matinee.  Additional autumn matinees will be announced in May.  Ticket prices for the 2024 season range from $47 to $56, and students 18 and under receive a 50% discount.
