Cassie Slater

Cassie is grateful to be spending her fourth summer on the Peninsula. Previously at Peninsula Players: Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors and Petra in A Little Night Music. Alongside her work in regional theatre (Chicago Shakespeare, Timeline Theatre, Barrington Stage, among many others), Cassie works extensively in the development of new musicals (BMI and William Finn’s Musical Theatre Lab at BSC) and originated the roles of Lauren and Judy in BSC’s See Rock City and Other Destinations (again at NAMT). Concerts: Joe’s Pub, Merkin Concert Hall, Lincoln Center, The Laurie Beechman and Ars Nova. In 2009, she won the New York Music Theater Festival’s Next Broadway Sensation Competition, which led to her solo show, Chimera at Joe’s Pub. Cassie is a proud graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University.
