Peninsula Players Theatre presented a reading of “Salvage” by Joseph Zettelmaier at Björklunden Monday, March 6 to an audience of more than 100. “Salvage” was produced as part of The Play’s the Thing, a winter series of play readings organized by Peninsula Players Theatre.
Participants and audience members enjoyed the evenings performance by Peninsula Players company members Matt Holzfiend (“The Tin Woman,” “Lend Me a Tenor,” “And Then There Were None”) and Melanie Keller (“The Fox on the Fairway”). Keller originated the role of Sarah in “Salvage’s” world première at First Folio Theatre. The cast was under the direction of Peninsula Players Artistic Director Greg Vinkler.
“Salvage” is a new romantic-comedy-mystery-drama set in a collectible’s shop in contemporary Detroit featuring two quirky characters who become romantically entangled while working together to sell unique and valuable items.
