Joel has many wonderful memories of working at Peninsula Players, starting with All My Sons and You Can’t Take It With You in 1995, and later Communicating Doors, The Cherry Orchard, and Arsenic and Old Lace. Chicago credits include House And Garden and Pericles at the Goodman Theatre, Another Part of The Forest, Benefactors, Misalliance, and Our Town at Writers Theatre, Cymbeline and The Merry Wives of Windsor at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. National tours include Showboat, Ragtime, Beauty and the Beast. Seven years ago, Joel premiered in Adding Machine: A Musical at Next Theatre in Evanston, Illinois, which eventually ran Off-Broadway garnering him an OBIE and a Lucille Lortel Award. Since then he has worked in New York in Billy Elliot, and Annie on Broadway and in television in “Boardwalk Empire,” “The Good Wife” and “Elementary.” He is married to actress Carol Kuykendall.
