Peninsula Players Theatre is pleased to announce the continuation and expansion of its scholarship program for Door County high school seniors pursuing a major or minor in arts management, music, or theater. Beginning in 2025, the scholarship amount will increase to $1,000 per student, doubling the previous award. This spring, one student from each of Door County’s five high schools will be eligible to receive this enhanced scholarship.
The Peninsula Players Theatre Scholarship was established to support the educational and career aspirations of graduating high school students in the performing arts. As America’s oldest professional resident summer theatre, Peninsula Players Theatre remains dedicated to fostering the next generation of artists, musicians, and arts administrators through this financial support.
“We are thrilled to provide increased scholarship funding to students wishing to further their education in the performing arts,” said Peninsula Players Theatre’s Managing Director Brian Kelsey. “We recognize the importance of investing in young artists and arts professionals, and we are excited to help these students take the next step in their academic and artistic journeys.”
To qualify for a Peninsula Players Theatre Scholarship, applicants must plan to enroll as full-time college or technical students with a major or minor in arts management, music (performance or education), or theater (acting, theater studies, theater technology, or design). Applications for the scholarship are available through the Door County Community Foundation.
